Prattsburgh Rambler: Quickie Edition

Great Day for a race down in Prattsbugh, NY.
Finished 3rd overall, was in the front group but got dropped on the Hungry Hollow climb and never was able to close gap the over the top. No chance of me closing it on the roads to the finish with all the wind. Course was super fun, super warm and a blast.

Marky took loads of video out on the race course today with the vholdr, so I’ll be sorting through the 1.5 gigs and trying to get something together this week.

Ripper video, is that Andy in the Park Ave kit that you caught towards the end of the descent? nice riding on your part, even better though on the part of whoever was on the motorcycle filming, that was a pretty hairball outside line taken to the right’s edge around Park Ave while the road was bending left to stay on your wheel.
Would have been fun to be there, Quabbin Road Race was fine but after 65miles in the sun and heat it gets tough keeping focus and caring about the 1.5mile uphill sprint to the finish when there’s still a field of 50 all rolling into it together.
Looking forward to some other Finger Lakes races later in the season, cheers…

Terry, the race was a blast!! That was Duncan Douglas (last years and this years eventual winner) that I passed on the descent. Mark was manning the moto; he’s got more experience on that than most of us on bikes combined.
Got alot more video where it came from, but too much work to do to play at the moment
