Up and Up to Estes Park
Today, I chased the Kat around all day. We met at LeftHand Canyon and took the 16 mile climb up to Ward. As it has been for the past few days, the weather was gorgeous today 55-60 and bright sunshine. No complaining here!

A nice steady upper tempo level pace. At least until I flatted. Seems I never replaced my co2 from my last flat and was stuck with the mini-hand pump. 200 strokes later, just as I’m ready to pull the pump off. pfffffff! WTF!? seem the tire somehow split along the seam. Luckily, Kat hooked me up with a spare and another 200 strokes later we were off.

Did you know Long’s Peak is the one on the Colorado coin?
After we hit Ward, we decided to head over to Estes Park. Fighting the headwinds, we slogged the long uphill grind until we got there. It seemed like it took us forever, but at least the views were great

The descent down was awesome (and a little scary with the gusts). Unfortunately, I only snagged about half of it on the video. The reward for hitting Estes Park? Lil Debbie Oatmeal Creme Pie; the Hollow-geneva crew are familiar with my lil debbie fetish

It was a pretty big day on the bike, 6 hours, 166k and a nice big TSS score of 295.9. This week was some good riding and seeing a huge jump in the CTL for the week! On top of the CTL jump, I can feel the fitness coming along very nicely
