Lookout Mountain
Headed over to Lookout Mountain in Golden today, for a short but sweet climb to the top then killer descent all the way down to the bottom

It’s about 550 meters up (~1900ft for those who can’t do math) and a bit technical and super steep in a few spots. The Dry X’s where hooking up well, but when it got steep they had a tendency to break a little loose
There are some pretty serious switchbacks to deal with. While they were difficult on the way up, especially with the having to get over the wooden water bars, it was actually harder dealing with them on the way down
The more you went up, the rockier it got. It wasn’t like this the whole way though. It was all rideable, but some of those rocks are definitely show stoppers on the way down if you hit them wrong!
At the top was a nice view over the opposite side ridge. Hence the name “Lookout Mountain”
As you headed up you got into the pines, it was really cool and super tech in a few spots. There wasn’t even snow….
This place is definitely going to be worth coming back. A nice awesome climb up and loads of fun coming back down!
